Site Assessment
The installation site was a sloped lawn behind a private estate. We conducted a site visit two weeks before the event to assess grade, underground utilities, and truck access. The slope required shimming the subflooring system on the south side — 6 inches of leveling over 80 feet.
Installation Timeline
Day 1: Tent frame assembly and subflooring installation. Day 2: Furniture delivery, lighting installation, climate control setup, and AV. The tent was fully enclosed with sidewalls for weather protection, with two 10-foot entrance openings.
Event Night
Temperature dropped to 42°F. Four propane tent heaters maintained 68°F inside the tent throughout the evening. Edison lights and uplighting created a warm atmosphere that made guests forget they were in a temporary structure. The client called it the best fundraiser venue they have ever had — and it was a tent on a lawn.
